Dubai is unusually hard on shoes. Air conditioning dries leather, sand abrades the welt, and marble punishes a thin sole across a long evening.
Every colourway is worn for a month before it is released: office, restaurant, car, boardwalk. Suede that bloomed in humidity was dropped; two sole compounds were rejected for squeaking on polished stone.
What survives is what we sell — which is also why the runs are small and why a colour disappears when the batch is done.
